What a Weekend

Just got back - have been in internet withdrawal for almost 4 days (the hotel claimed to have free wi-fi, but it never worked).

So much to tell. The weather made it a rough, rough day for a lot of people. I was lucky enough to cross paths with Iron Wil a couple of times while I worked, will tell about my tiny part of her enormous day when I finally write it all down.

Hard as it was, even working with what became a raging upper respiratory infection, I had a blast and I will definitely go back to work it again.

You mean you work it and then compete, right?

Sorry to hear you were sick, glad you enjoyed yourself despite illness and weather.

You are so awesome.

I almost cried when I found the note in my helmet...THANK YOU. It made my disappointment from the swim vanish instantly, and I remembered what I was there for.

Thanks for being such a wonderful support! I wish I could have seen you more but knowing you were there was so amazing. THANK YOU.

It was great meeting you on Friday and talking to you on Sunday! Thanks for being out there and helping all of us out.

Were you, by chance, staying at the Concourse Hotel? They had free wifi there, but the connection was sporatic at best.

I bet you did hand us bags! I was wearing a blue raincoat, and a black hat with the adidas logo and Team Headhunters on the side.

I didn't argue with anyone about the bags for Francis (I think that was his name). I vaguely remember someone bringing us extra bags, but I was kneeling with him, asking him questions. I was trying to make sure he was coherent, and that I shouldn't insist on taking him over to the med tent.

I wonder if I talked to trimamma and tridaddy. I caught with a lot of people. I don't know if RobbyB is familiar with my blog.

I was watching for Wil, and was so sad when I got home and found out that she didn't make it. I do think I saw them leaving Madison as I headed to the airport. The car had "Iron Wil" on the side (I think).

Glad we got to meet, even if we didn't even know it!!
